Our Plans

To address our needs and fulfill our mission and vision we are moving Forward by Faith with the first phase of our master plan, focusing on all ages, ministries, and people.

Creating more functional spaces in our existing facility while also expanding its footprint to live out our commitment to put kids first.
Having our five strategic focus areas come to life not only in what we demonstrate as disciples of Christ, but in the way our church building presents ourselves to anyone entering our doors.

Kidz Ministry Zone

A large, bright, new Kidz Ministry Zone, to support Sunday School and Christian Education, will focus on making young families feel welcomed and comfortable, and create weekday and weeknight childrens’ ministries possibilities.

An open design will showcase the area and offer an inviting look at our other ministry areas.
The large, bright, comfortable Family Connections area in the center will be a parent gathering area.
A mom’s room, nursery, and toddler and pre-k classrooms will have easy access for the youngest children.
The stairwell will feature a fun and colorful branding wall.
The lower floor will include two new classroom spaces, two new convenient handicap accessible restrooms, and renovations to create a third classroom.

Renovations

Renovations to our sanctuary for traditional worship service include:

Interior upgrades such as seating enhancements and flooring.
Video/sound and lighting upgrades.
Wheelchair-friendly and accessible seating areas.

Fireside Room

We envision our Fireside Room as an engaging, comfortable place for Christian connection among people of all ages. Renovations will:

Address flooring, furniture, paint, video/sound resources, and lighting.
Support our current space needs for discipleship, meeting, and fellowship.
Add a video wall and more seating.

Fellowship Hall Fellowship Hall renovations will positively affect our contemporary worship service as well as discipleship ministries. The renovated space will:

Serve as a great space for weeknight and weekend youth ministry.
Feature a welcoming entry.
Be remodeled and reconfigured to a north/south orientation to allow for more growth.
Offer increased seating capacity for fellowship, community meetings, and adult discipleship ministries.
Include improved sound and audio.
Have a new wall to separate the kitchen from the worship, fellowship, meeting, and discipleship area.

Christian Life Center

A new Christian Life Center truly can be an entry point into the First Congregational Church family. This transformational new space will:

Allow our congregation to invite the larger community to our facility in ways never possible before.
Facilitate new ministries such as children’s, youth, and adult activities and basketball and volleyball leagues.
Provide additional space for current missions such as Dicken’s Bazaar and The Great Giveaway.
Enable us to offer health and wellness classes for all ages, will include a walking track, and could include pickleball courts.
Seat dinners for 400-plus people.
Serve as a transitional worship space if our contemporary worship service outgrows the Fellowship Hall.
Become a hub for youth ministry – a natural extension of the inevitable growth in children’s ministry.
