Our Plans
Capital Improvements
HVAC System
- Significant HVAC system upgrades will include replacing the control units, two boilers, the chiller, and the basement air handling units that serve the classroom addition and fellowship hall.
- Updated zone temperature controls will reduce the system’s overall energy use and costs.
Roof Replacement
- The south side roof will be replaced with a flat membrane roofing system that is highly resistant to water, UV rays, chemicals, and extreme cold and heat.
- Membrane roofing systems are especially eco-friendly. They reflect sunlight which decreases a building’s heat absorption, energy use, and carbon emissions.
- Membrane roofing systems have minimal maintenance needs and are known for their sturdiness and 30-year-life spans.
Parking Lot
The north and south side parking lots will be repaired, resealed, and repainted.
Interior
The multi-purpose room’s ceiling will be repaired and refinished to improve it for groups like confirmation classes, adult learning, and small weddings.
First Floor
We plan to repaint our first-floor walls and replace the flooring in the narthex, café, and church offices. This will create a much warmer and more welcoming first impression of our church.
New Memorial Garden
A memorial garden will be created for the cremated ashes of our members and their families. It will be a private and peaceful place of perpetual rest.
Electrical System
We plan to take advantage of government-offered credits for a new solar-based electric system installation. This will provide a 25% cost savings on the system itself and reduce our electrical costs by an estimated 50%.
