Our Plans
Our initial plan was shared with parishioners in a recent project planning study. Their valuable input helped us develop an ambitious and exciting three-phase plan to address, in order of importance, our priority needs.
PHASE I
Updated Rectory
Updating, expanding, and renovating our rectory will better meet the communal living needs of our parish priests, retired priests, and seminarians needed for a parish of our size.
- Enlarging the garage for four cars.
- Renovating the kitchen, dining, and living rooms and adding a deck, parlor, conference room, exercise room, and a small chapel.
- Creating two private suites with bedrooms, bathrooms, and small studies for work, study, and prayer for our resident priests.
- Creating basement quarters for visiting priests, seminarians, and guests. This will include three bedrooms with bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living, laundry, and work and study areas.
Parish Center Addition
Expanding the Parish Center will provide office, conference, and storage space on the upper level, and multi-use class and meeting rooms and a youth center on the lower level.
New Food Pantry Building
Constructing a large, new, dedicated food pantry building will enable us to expand our services to better meet our community's needs. It will also provide necessary convenience, efficiency, comfort and accessibility for both our volunteers and those we serve.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18
PHASE II
New Social Hall
- An expanded main entryway, conveniently accessible from the parking lot, will have a large gathering space where people can meet, greet and get to know one another before and after Masses.
- Convenient, handicapped-accessible restrooms will be added.
- The new hall will comfortably seat up to 500 people at tables and chairs. A catering kitchen will have more food preparation, storage, and service space, and commercial-grade appliances.
- Off the lobby will be a new day chapel for Eucharistic adoration, small services, and private prayer.
Expanded Multi-Use Spaces
Having the new Social Hall will allow us to renovate the lower level Dining Hall for other much-needed uses.
- The dining room will be renovated into four much-needed permanent, multi-use class and meeting rooms for faith formation and adult ministry meetings.
- Two new accessible restrooms will be added, as well as two offices for the Faith Formation Coordinator and Assistant.
PHASE III
Worship Space Improvements
The final phase of our plans will improve our worship space to be more reverential as well as more comfortable.
- The worship space will be reoriented so that the front Sanctuary will be to the north in the church's original main entryway.
- Our beautiful Tabernacle will be restored to a position of elevated prominence along the back wall of the new, expanded altar area.
- All the seating will be turned to face the new front and seating capacity will be increased considerably.
- The new main entry into the church will be at the back of the pews.
- The choir area will be expanded and relocated to the back where the small narthex will be slightly enlarged.
New Bridal & Family Room
A bridal and family room will be created on the lower level adjacent to new restrooms. This will provide bridal parties and funeral families with a convenient, private, gathering space. When not in use it can serve as a large multi-use class or meeting room.
New Choir & Music Room
A new choir and music room for our vocalists and musicians will be a convenient, dedicated place to rehearse and securely store their instruments and materials.
