Our Plans
In time for our Upcoming 150th Anniversary Celebration and after a detailed study and architect consultation, we plan to literally build our future by constructing a new school addition instead of repairing our old buildings.
New School Addition
A new school addition will drastically improve our school facility. With it, St. Paul’s will be able to continue to improve the quality, Christian education that we’ve been providing to the Perham community for the past 114 years.
Four New Classrooms & Breakout Spaces
The school addition will include four beautiful new classrooms to replace the old, worn out, portable ones. The addition will also have a large, central, flexible-use breakout space for use by all grades, and two small-group rooms for tutoring and band lessons.
Dedicated Music Room
Our school will finally have a dedicated music room with appropriate acoustics and safe instrument storage space. This also means that our church's gathering room will be free for other groups to use.
Secure Entryway & Improved Office Area
Our school's safety will be improved with a digitally secured entryway. A new office layout will place the school receptionist in position to be able to monitor all who enter and leave the building. The more functional office layout will also include a new staff bathroom and work and breakout room.
Gym, Hallway, & Existing Classroom Remodeling
To resolve our gym’s wall damage and acoustic issues, the walls will be repaired and acoustic panels added. Also, a new hallway connecting the existing school to the addition will create a noise buffer between the gym and adjacent classrooms. Any damaged hallway flooring will be repaired and matched with the new hallway flooring.
Two existing classrooms will be remodeled to accommodate the special needs of our kindergarten and first grade classes. Adjacent areas will be renovated to create storage spaces.
Fire Sprinkler System
Most importantly, a sprinkler system will be installed throughout the entire school to improve our student's and the building’s safety and to meet building code requirements.
Renovate & Expand Parking Lots
We will renovate our current parking lot and add additonal parking on the church’s southwest corner. It will bring our parking requirements up to code, provide more parking for our busiest services, and improve traffic flow, especially for school dropoff and pickup.
