Our Plans

School Improvements $2,000,000

Classrooms

  • School classroom windows and window coverings will be replaced. New energy-efficient windows will provide consistently comfortable temperatures and reduce our energy use and costs.
  • New, uniform, bright white ceiling tiles will provide added insulation and improve classroom sound quality and lighting.
  • Modern, longer-lasting flooring will be installed.
  • Repaired and repainted walls will substantially brighten the classrooms.
  • Classroom doors will be refinished or replaced as needed for improved aesthetics and safety.
  • All classrooms will get dedicated, secure, in-room storage areas for frequently used and valuable classroom equipment and instructional materials.

Second Floor Lockers

We plan to add individual lockers for our upper-grade students on the second floor of our school building. These will declutter the classrooms and provide safer and more secure storage for these students’ belongings.

Specialty Spaces

  • Unused or underused areas in the school  will be remodeled into much-needed multi-use spaces. These will serve as individual or small group work rooms, learning spaces, and student, teacher, and parent meeting spaces.
  • Our robotics program will get its own dedicated room.

Restrooms

  • Our restrooms will undergo a major transformation with new plumbing, fixtures and furnishings.
  • Walls will be repaired and repainted and new flooring installed.
  • The restrooms will meet handicapped accessible codes with wider, easier to open doors and stalls.

Kitchen

  • New, easier-to-operate, more efficient, commercial-grade appliances will improve preparing and serving student lunches and facilitating other social activities and events.
  • Modern, sanitary, and longer-lasting flooring will be installed.
  • The entire kitchen and surrounding area will be cleaned and repainted.

HVAC System

All of our remaining 20-year or older HVAC units will be replaced with more energy and cost-efficient units. This will make it easier to maintain comfortable temperatures within our school and reduce our overall energy usage and expense.

New Gymnasium

•    The funds used to repair the water damaged gym floor will be repaid.
•    The upper wall coverings will be replaced.

Old Gymnasium

The old gym’s roof will be replaced.

Stairway & Hallway

•    The metal treads will be replaced.
•    The hallway ceiling vents and pipes will be covered to protect them from damage and for improved aesthetics.

Public Address System

Our school’s current public address system will be replaced. This will enable us to easily communicate with our students and staff throughout the building.

Storage

Closing off the old gym’s upper level will create additional, dedicated, athletic storage.

Playground

The playground's protective rubber will be replaced, and new playground equipment will be installed to bring the area up to date.

Child Care Ministry Center Improvements  $1,500,000

Larger, Consolidated Space

  • We plan to remodel the church’s lower level Child Care Ministry space to be more efficient.
  • For now, the ministry will expand into the Social Room and Sunday School rooms to give us additional childcare space until a better, more permanent solution is found.
  • Our plans call for raising approximately $1.25 million for finding a more permanent, suitable solution to the expansion, consolidation, and improved safety of our Child Care Ministry space.

Fire Protection System

A fire protection and sprinkler system will be added to our Social Room and Sunday School rooms, as required, to be able to use these areas for our Child Care Ministry.

Adequate Play Space

The play space will be expanded and improved with age-appropriate play equipment.

Dedicated Kitchen

Adding a dedicated kitchen within our childcare facilities will enable us to efficiently prepare the children’s meals and snacks each day without interfering with the school kitchen.

School Endowment Fund $250,000 - $500,000

We intend to seek support to start a school endowment fund. The principal sum will be invested and remain intact while the interest generated will provide support to address needs. A minimum of $250,000 - $500,000 will establish this fund with ongoing efforts to enhance the fund in future years.
Having an endowment offers the opportunity for those who love Christian education to make a gift that will make a difference for generations to come.
